The final examination consists of an evaluation by a committee of professors and researchers of a thesis written in Italian or English under the guidance of a supervisor.
The degree dissertation is a technical document, normally not exceeding 30 (thirty) pages, concerning the elaboration or project-related activities carried out on topics related to one or more subjects. It must be submitted to all members of the thesis committee at least one week before the thesis session. Guidelines for the preparation of the dissertation are available at the link: Guidelines for writing the degree dissertation
The Commission will formulate the final grade in accordance with the procedures set out in the Didactic Regulations of the Aerospace Engineering Degree Course. In determining the final grade, the Commission may take into account the following three rates:
- The average (in hundredths, weighted according to the number of ECTS allocated to each course) of the marks obtained in all the competitive examinations passed in order to obtain the 180 CFUs for the three-year course. For this purpose, the grade of the examinations passed with distinction is taken as 31;
- Quality of the paper and presentation: up to 3 points;
- Student's career: up to 5 points, based on the legal duration of the course and the basic average.
